SORAYA DOOLBAZ: PROFFESIONAL PENIS PHOTOGRAPHER
Soraya Doolbaz is an Iranian Canadian who lives in New York and she is a professional penis photographer. She wants to bring a little artistry and humour to the humble dick pic.
'My project is called Dicture Gallery and it’s exactly what it sounds like, dick pictures,’ she explains, adding: ‘In the spirit of humour and glorifying the whole dick pic phenomenon, I decided to treat the whole thing like a high fashion photo shoot by putting clothing on penises.’
She started shooting penis portraits over two years ago after a flash of inspiration. ‘My goal with all this was to make people laugh,’ she says. ‘I wanted to create comfort and confidence around sexuality for men and women.‘Men should be proud of their d*cks…women and gay men should have no shame in enjoying them’. She wants, she says, to start a penis revolution.
Back when I was single, I would get a ton of dick pics and my friends would get them, and we would show them to each other. Some dick pics were better than the other ones, and I thought, ‘What if I took them with a professional camera?'” She continues, “I was walking through a Walmart and I saw a couple of dolls. I just put two and two together and thought I could make a personality out of penises.”
